Q: What is Pajama Pathologist?
A: Pajama Pathologist refers to the preclinical histopathology that is performed by self- employed pathologists, often times from home, and using the PathData® System.
Q: Why is it called Pajama Pathologist?
A: One of the key differentiators is that because the work can frequently be done from home, it is thought that the work can be done in absolute comfort. A light-hearted view of this would be a pathologist hard at work at the microscope wearing pajamas.
Q: What is so special about the PDS view of Pajama Pathologist?
A: PDS views the market for Pajama Pathologist to be a growing one. As more pathologists "retire" from their corporate jobs, they realize the demand for their experience and talent continues. We have addressed that need by making our software available to pathologists that may only have an infrequent need to use it and then only pay for what they use.
Q: What tools do I need to be a Pajama Pathologist?
A: You'll need a PC (laptops are perfect), an internet connection, and a PDS account. A comfortable pair of slippers is optional.
Q: What if I will be reading GLP studies?
A: Unlike other solutions, you and your study sponsor can have the utmost confidence in the fact that our software and the way we deploy it is GLP. We are not "like" GLP. We are literally GLP and have the GLP Certificate to prove it. In that regard, there is no need for concern that regulators may at some point down the road question if our solutions that you used for your work actually were GLP. That is the nightmare scenario that is totally eliminated when you utilize PDS from our GLP-Certified hosting center.
A: PDS is responsible for the IQ and OQ. Our GLP certification covers that.
Q: So then I need to do the PQ?
A: Yes. And we've made that very easy, straightforward and affordable for you to accomplish. You can consult with us and take advantage of a variety of PQ Package options to further streamline the process.
Q: How long does it take to get access to the PathData System up and running?
A: You can start almost as soon as you would like. If you already are familiar with the PathData System, the additional training is minimal. If you are not familiar with the PathData System, you will need a couple of days of training. Training is provided on a per diem basis.
Q: I don't know if the amount of work I will have will justify the cost. What if I only have one study to read and then don't get any other work for a while?
A: That is exactly why we developed this concept. Once you have activated your account, you simply purchase the amount of access that you need based on the number of slides that you will be reading for the particular study. It is easy and cost-effective.
Q: Will the PathData System provide tools for me to generate my report?
A: Yes. This is not a diluted 'lite' version. It is the same software used by 80% of the Top Ten Pharma, as well as quality CROs, regulatory agencies, and companies of all sizes.
Q: So this is really good?
A: Yes. Ask other pathologists you know what they think of PDS. Unlike other solutions, we are all about your science. For more than thirty years, we have been the trusted company that develops tools that are efficient, easy to use, and set the standard that others in the marketplace can only try to reach.
Q: How do I find out more or get started as a Pajama Pathologist?
A: Excellent question. Give us a call or drop us a note. We'll listen to your needs and offer suggestions for your consideration.
Q: Thank you.
A: You're welcome! We hope to hear from you soon.
